Klein ISD High School Cheer Handbook
This is the Handbook that ALL Klein ISD Cheerleaders must abide by. This is a living document and can be changed by administration throughout the school year.
Major Changes to the handbook for 2019-2020:
*Max squad size for freshmen is 14 and JV is 16
*Cheerleaders are expected to maintain/improve/perform any skills demonstrated at tryouts.
*Non-returning members will be removed from cheer class immediately following tryouts.
*Each cheerleader will receive 2 game/event passes to use as needed throughout the year at Sponsor approval based on squad needs. Must be approved at least 1 week in advance.
*Nails must be kept at a safe length, and not visible beyond the fingertips
*Leadership positions will be lost if strike is received.
*Insubordination/disrespect towards sponsor, coach, teacher or administration is a strike.
*Immediate removal from squad for alcohol, tobacco vape and/or any drug use
* All cheerleaders/mascot MUST be in attendance for 7th period cheer class the day of an event/game to participate. However, the cheerleader must attend the event in uniform and sit with the sponsor. Non-participation includes absences, early dismissals, and sitting out.
*Having unnatural hair color at a game, practice, or activity/event
